I bring a wealth of knowledge spanning arboriculture, urban planning, communication and the creative arts, offering a holistic view of the dynamic interaction between people and trees.
From organising vibrant events to facilitating insightful workshops, Nuttgens Urban Forestry seeks to redefine the way the public perceive and interact with our urban environment, getting the balance right between wellbeing, nature and the climate so it works for everybody.
If you seek to infuse your project with fresh perspectives, host cutting-edge training or an event, or if you are seeking expert arboricultural advice, then please get in touch.
I have worked in a variety of diverse roles, most recently as the Urban Programme Lead for the Woodland Trust. Through my career, I have fostered connections between people and their natural surroundings, particularly within the urban landscape. I was studying for my arboricultural diploma when significant protest around trees occurred in Sheffield, which highlighted the need to have better universal understanding and communication about Urban trees and their value in the landscape.
Over 25 years I have led multiple projects in the voluntary and public sector, and my expertise spans various domains, including Tree Equity, arboriculture and planning, landscape heritage and environmental education. Through this time, I have championed collaborative approaches that harmonise urban communities with nature and urban greenspace. I feel that if we are to tackle the joint challenges posed to cities by the climate and nature crises, then the public’s understanding and support of urban greenspace is vital.
